General questions
Q: What is Icons-Land?
A: Icons-Land is a company that offers icons for you in two ways: Stock icons from our shop and Custom Designed icons via our Custom Icon Design service. These icons could be used in software applications, mobile phone and handheld applications, websites.
Q: Do you follow style guides?
A: For Windows Vista style icons we follow Windows Vista User Experience Guidelines. For Windows XP style icons we follow Microsoft Style Guide for XP Icons
Q: Do you sell icons individually?
A: Yes. Please Contact Us and specify list of icons you need. Then we'll contact you. Price of individual icon is $5.
Icon formats, sizes, colors
Q: What icon formats do you provide?
A: This depends on icon set. Please check details of package you are going to order.
Usually all icons are provided in formats .png and .ico.
.PNG is suitable for Windows applications, toolbars, mobile phone applications, Linux applications, Websites.
.ICO is suitable for Windows applications.
.ICNS is suitable for Macintosh applications.
Q: I like your icon set, but there are no icon format I need ?
A: Please contact us with your request. In most cases we convert icons to other formats for free.
Q: What icon size do you provide?
A: Please check each icon set for details. Usually these are sizes 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256.
Q: Unfortunately there are no sizes I need?
A: If maximum size of icons in icons set is 256x256, and you need icons in one of sizes 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 72x72, 80x80, 96x96, 128x128, than we convert all these icons to required sizes for free. In any case please Contact us.
Q: Why image in icon of size 16x16 differ a bit from image on icon of highest size?
A: Size 16x16 is very small size for modern icons and it is very hard to show the same image in this icon. That's why image for icon 16x16 is simplified. This allow end user still understand icon meaning though it is very small.
Q: What icon colors do your icons have?
A: Icons are provided in TrueColor + Alpha channel.
Q: In Icon Set details you specify Icons Count and Variations. What is the difference?
A: Variations - number of different icons in the icon set, though many of them are similar. Icons Count - number of different artworks in icon set. For example: There are three icons: User, Add User, Delete User. Though these are different icons, they are produced from one icon User by adding Plus sign and Cross. In this case we consider that number of Variations are 3, but Icons Count is 1 (User). Many icons providers show only Variations (named as Count) and don't show Unique Icons Count. We show both numbers.
Custom Design Service
Q: Do you offer Custom Design Service?
A: Yes, we do. Please check our Custom Design page for more details.
Q: How much custom designed icon costs?
A: We don't have fixed price per custom designed icon. Every project is reviewed separately and price per icon is set up.
Q: What custom designed icon price depends on?
A: First of all it depends on what type of service you order: Extending existing stock icon set or Designing icon set and passing copyright to customer. Then it depends on number of requested icons, their style, sizes, formats.
Legal Issues
Q: How many of my products can I use your stock icons in?
A: You can use stock icons in an unlimited number of software applications and web sites.
Q: Can I modify the purchased stock icons?
A: Yes, you can modify your purchased stock icons without permission for your needs.
Q: Can I distribute the stock icons I have modified?
A: NO, while you are free to modify stock icons, you cannot distribute them to another party separately from your product.

Q: What system do you use for getting payment?
A: We use eSellerate to get payment (http://store.esellerate.net/icons-land/store/).
Q: What credit cards do you accept?
A: eSellerate provides transactions for all major credit cards including VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and JCB .
Q: Do you accept PayPal?
A: Yes, you'll have this option while placing order.
Q: What currencies do you accept?
A: Payments are accepted in US Dollar, Euro, Australian Dollar, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Danish Krone, Hong Kong Dollar, Japanese Yen, New Zealand Dollar, Norwegian Krone, Singapore Dollar, South African Rand, Sweden Krona, Swiss Franc.
